UPSC Central Armed Police Forces Online Application Forms

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Central Armed Police Forces (AC) exam each year for recruitment of commandant. For the year 2014 exam is expected to be conducted in the month of July 2014.

This exam is conducted for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in different departments such as Central Police Forces (CPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) under Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

For the posts in CRPF, SSB, CISF department both male as well as female candidates can apply , however only male candidates can apply for the BSF and ITBP department.

Eligibility Criteria:

Who want to apply for the exam must be aged between 20 -25 years, however age relaxation for reserved category students is applicable as the government norms.

Candidate must be a graduate or have a certificate proof from recognized university, individuals who are in their final year of graduation, can also apply for the exams, but at the time of admission process, they would be required to submit the passing certificate.

The UPSC has not released the notification yet, but it is expected that very soon the board will announce the exam dates, the details provided in this article are based on the previous year data.

Application Procedure:

Candidates have to apply online through the online CAPF apply form by visiting the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.online.nic.in. Those who are applying online, they have to pay the application fee through net banking/credit card/debit card.

General category candidates have to pay a registration fee of Rs 200 /- whereas reserved category candidates are exempted from application fee.

  • Examination date: 13th July

Paper Pattern:

The Central Armed Police Forces (AC) exam comprises of 2 papers. Paper I consists of multiple choice questions of 250 marks & paper II is of 150 marks which comprises of essay writing, précis & compression, etc.
